What are these changes?
Well, the changes made to this stimulus bill are quite significant. The tax credit allowance is now $1,000 more and offers a 30 percent discount for replacement windows and doors only being installed before December 31, 2010 in the principal residence and also requires all necessary documentation.
Not every ENERGY STAR window meets the criteria for the tax credit. Windows must have insulated glass that gives the window a specified U-factor and SHGC rating of 0.30 or lower.
